Books of Gay Interest in German

Founded in 2009, Arbery Books is the UK's leading online dealer in rare and secondhand books and ephemera of gay, lesbian and transgender interest. Our other fields of interest are sexuality in general and antiquarian (pre-1900) curiosities, erotica, picaresque and sexual behaviour. Recently we have added early science-fiction and fantasy to our lists.

We ship worldwide, usually within one working day of receiving an order. Prices include UK postage and packing. To order any book or for further details including condition and postage rates, contact Arbery Books (man spricht deutsch).

"Heinz Heger was the pen name used by Hans Neumann, who provides the introduction to this book and wrote the story, using the first person, of Josef Kohout (1917 - March 1994), an Austrian Nazi concentration camp survivor. Kohout had been imprisoned for his homosexuality. Die Männer mit dem rosa Winkel (The Men With the Pink Triangle) is one of very few autobiographical accounts of the treatment of homosexuals in Nazi imprisonment. Its publication helped to illuminate not just the suffering gay prisoners of the Nazi regime had experienced, but the lack of recognition and compensation they received after the war's end." further details on Wikipedia (which mistakes Neumann for Kohout) and on page 10 of Homosexuals in Austria: Nazi persecution and the long struggle for rehabilitation

Arbery Books also sells secondhand and rare mainstream titles.
